Yoga at The Community Centre is for people of all abilities either beginners or intermediate.
Yoga will help to keep the body supple and relaxed and the mind calm with the regular practice of Yoga postures, relaxation and breathing exercises.
The aim is that students will practice their Yoga with a deeper awareness of both mind and body.
If you have a heart condition or any serious illness please check with your doctor to make sure Yoga is right for you.
You will be expected to fill in a simple health form on joining the group.
Please wear loose clothing and bring along a mat, blanket or sleeping bag to lie on.
Classes meet at a local Community Centre on 1st and 3rd Mondays 2:45 until 3:45pm
As our teacher Jennifer is not a U3A member there is a charge of £3 plus £1 for the hall hire payable in advance.
Jennifer was trained by the Inner Healing School of Yoga, which is accredited by the Independent Yoga Network and insured by Holistic Insurance Services.
Yoga is aimed at calming and relaxing the mind, allowing the body to flow with the rhythm of the breath.
The yoga practice will encourage the body to become healthier, stronger and more flexible.
All levels of ability can join as everyone works to their own capability.
