Ballroom Dancing

This group meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, 1.30 – 3.00pm, beginning on Thursday May 10th 2012.
The group meet at the Headlands Church Hall, Room number 2.
The session is in two parts with a break for tea.
The first half is learning dances, (starting with the Waltz and the Quickstep) and the second half is an opportunity to socialise and practise dancing.

Tap Dancing

Ever had the desire to get your toes tapping? Now could be your chance.
I am starting a Tap Dancing class solely for beginners.
Nothing difficult or strenuous - just good fun and also good excercise.
Within a few months you could be treading the boards !
The Group will meet on Thursday mornings weekly, 10.30 - 11.30, at Weston Favell Parish Hall, on the corner of Booth Lane. .

Country Dancing

This group, is devoted to English Country Dance.
The group meet weekly from 10am-12 noon on Wednesday mornings at Weston Favell Village Hall,( corner of Booth Lane South and Wellingborough Road ).
It will focus on some of the dances which make up the incredibly rich tradition of English Country Dances recorded over the last four centuries.
The dances vary greatly in style and form but all have 3 things in common.
All are danced to beautiful music, virtually anyone take part with a little guidance and, most importantly, it is great fun.
We will also learn a little about the history and development of the dance through to the present day.
